Dr Mpho Nenweli

Managing Director

Mpho Nenweli is an experienced environmentalist, analyst, trainer and facilitator. He has qualifications that include a Masters (Environment and Society – University of Pretoria), Masters in Business Administration (MBA – Management College of Southern Africa) and a PhD (Town and Regional Planning – University of Witwatersrand). Mpho has well developed cognitive and emotional capacity. He is versatile, analytic, adaptable, and energetic. Mpho has good understanding of both the public, international civil service (United Nations Development Programme – UNDP). He has formed and run small enterprises focusing on environmental management consulting, property development and tourism. He has spent years mentoring small business owners and providing capacity building. Mpho has sourced and managed multi-million projects in South Africa.

Judith Fasheun

SACNASP

Judith is a qualified environmentalist with a BSc degree in Geography and Environmental Management and a Master’s degree in Environment and Development, both of which were obtained from the University of KwaZulu-Natal (UKZN). Judith has experience in working on various environmental projects commissioned by several institutions in South Africa. She conducted numerous basic and environmental impact assessments of different transmission power lines and the upgrading of various sub-stations across all provinces in South Africa. She has gained extensive experience in developing programme scopes, conducting environmental impact assessments, developing environmental management plans and associated programmes, developing mitigation strategies to address the effects of environmental impacts, and implementing recommendations emanating from the findings of environmental impact assessments. Judith has accumulated in-depth experience in managing multi-million rand environmental management projects.

Tebogo Mabuza

Tebogo Mabuza has a degree in Industrial Engineering. He is currently Managing Director at ETM Consulting Services. Tebogo has cumulative twenty four (24) years of knowledge in the private and public sector with fifteen (15) years at national, provincial and local government within South Africa. His work in national projects targeting local government (Project Consolidate) as well as a management consultant has seen him deliver a broad range of support services to government departments, entities, agencies and municipalities. Tebogo has already delivered the following projects:

Facilitated Strategic Planning Sessions for Housing Development Agency (HDA), Mpumalanga Regional Training Trust (MRTT), Mpumalanga Economic Growth Agency (MEGA), South African Maritime Safety Authority (SAMSA), South African Local Government Association (SALGA), Gauteng Liquor Board (GLB), Gauteng Gambling Board (GGB), Gateway Airport Authority Limited (GAAL), Polokwane Housing Association (PHA) and several municipalities including City of Polokwane (CoP), City of Joburg (CoJ) and Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Municipality (EMM)

Developed Strategic Plans and Annual Performance Plans for HDA, MRTT, MEGA, SALGA, GAAL and IDPs for several Municipalities.

Conducted Community Engagement and Public Participation Sessions to review green and white papers, IDP Consultative Sessions, Mining Rights, Local Labour Plans, and the Eskom Energy Loss Programmes.

Developed, reviewed and refined the policies, frameworks, strategies, plans for Magalies Water, Eskom and several municipalities..

Project managed and provided advisory services on energy and water utilities in the implementation of energy loss programmes, infrastructure embetterment and water savings programmes.

Implemented Outcomes Based Management Methodology for HDA, MRTT, MEGA, SALGA, GAAL, CoJ, GLB, EMM, CoP, PHA and GGB.

Training of Organisations in Outcomes Based Planning, Performance Management and Monitoring & Evaluation.

Project managed the training of organisations in EWSETA and Services SETA accredited learnerships and unit standards.

Developed Performance Scorecards for MRTT, MEGA, SALGA, GAAL and IDPs for several Municipalities.

Prof Aly Karam

Aly Karam is a visiting Associate Professor in the School of Architecture and Planning at University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg, South Africa. He earned the Ph.D. in City and Regional Planning from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, North Carolina. His research interests and publications extend to both the planning and the architecture disciplines. In architecture he publishes on marketing and on the use of IT in practice and its effect on the management of the architecture offices. His planning research and publications revolve around informality, land and real estate, housing policy and the housing process.
