Project scope

An Environmental Management Framework (EMF) is an Integrated Environmental Management (IEM) designed to support the overall achievement of sustainable development. Part of the EMF process is the development of Exclusion Standards aimed at supporting the exclusion of identified listed activities relating to certain commodity enterprises to facilitate Environmental Authorisation based on an approved EMF. The development of an EMF is governed by the Environmental Management Framework (EMF) Regulations 2010 (as amended in 2012).

The EMF Project is divided into eight Phases that are listed below. Click the links below and download reports per Phase. Kindly register as an Interested and Affected Party and provide technical inputs on the reports and processes being followed to develop EMFs.
